About Us
We’re Gabi Pizano and Jon DeLuca - Husband and wife team behind the vineyard.
What began as a shared love of food, wine, and the outdoors grew into a commitment to farming and caring for the vineyard. That commitment is shaped by a deep respect for the land that brings every bottle to life.
Our vineyard is built on patience and family, rooted in the place we call home. Each day is spent in the vines, learning from the seasons. Those lessons have shaped how we work—balanced, intentional, and grounded in what we do.
For us, winemaking goes far beyond what’s in the glass. Each bottle reflects the people around the table, the hands that helped bring it to life, and the place it comes from.

Gabi Pizano & Jon DeLuca
Our connection to wine began around the table.
For Gabi, it was through daily, made-from-scratch family meals, where food and wine were part of every conversation. For Jon, it developed through large Italian family gatherings, where cooking, sharing meals, and wine were at the center of life. These early experiences shaped how we think about wine—as something meant to accompany food, conversation, and time together.
Travel through Europe, particularly the Champagne region, deepened our understanding of farming, terroir, and wine production. It also inspired our desire to create our own wines that tell a story of the land and the people who nurture it.
These wines are dedicated to our grandparents, whose love of family, food, and wine laid the foundation for everything we do.

The Farm
Home in the Hills of Statesville
The vineyard is located in the hills of Statesville, North Carolina, where the growing season and local conditions guide our farming decisions.
We believe wine quality begins in the vineyard. Our focus is on soil health, vine balance, and practices that support long-term productivity.
We use regenerative farming methods, including integrating sheep into the vineyard to manage vegetation and reduce the need for mechanical and chemical inputs.
This is a working farm and where we work every day.
Our Approach
Good Wine is Grown
After harvest, our role is to preserve what was grown in the vineyard.
Our cellar practices are intentionally straightforward, allowing each wine to reflect the character of the vineyard. We emphasize minimal intervention, with no fining and only minimal filtration.
“Wine is made in the vineyard, and what happens in the cellar is ancillary at most and irrelevant at best.” -Peter Hahn, Clos de la Meslerie
Our goal is to make wines that tell the story of the vineyard, the season, and the care we put into every vine.
